Phone Intake Screening-Finally!

I had my phone intake screening yesterday with Bethany! She was super nice and answered all of my questions. I was told the intake screening would be about 90 minutes long, but it was only about 40 minutes. She just went over what would happen at a consultation, and asked some medical questions about myself.

I asked her when they were doing surgical consultations and how far ahead from the consult are they booking surgery, and while she wasn't able to tell me how far ahead they're booking for surgery from the consultation date, she did inform me that it looks like they are scheduling consultations in May (I believe of this year lol, I didn't ask).

Unfortunately from there, I think the wait for surgery will be about a year. Bethany did make me feel better though and she said that it depends on the person. For me, my arm hair removal is pretty much complete. I have reduction in hair growth on my arm by 90% or more. I am also getting closer to having a hysterectomy, though I don't have a surgery date or a consult for it, I know I am close because I have my consultation for my egg retrieval this month! I also have all (or most) or my surgical letters required for surgery, so this might be able to speed things along as well.

Having the intake screening was a huge pick me up. She said she would most likely be able to schedule me for a consultation within the next week or so, depending on when she has a chance to review my letters! Also, I learned how JH does their scheduling for surgeries. Instead of giving you a date immediately, they assign you to a quarter, and the closer you get to that quarter, they will call and give you a definite date!

A different way of doing things, but I can roll with it.
