Phone Intake Screening w/ Johns Hopkins

I am D-1 day and 20 hours until my phone intake screening with Johns Hopkins Hospital! To my understanding, this will mostly be a talk (about 90 minutes) with a social worker from the hospital, I unfortunately won't be speaking with DOC until my consultation-God knows when that will be. I am composing a list of questions to ask if there's time for any. I don't think the social worker will have any information about the surgery itself, so I am mostly composing questions about scheduling and insurance. I already have 3 letters from professionals saying that I am ready for this surgery, so hopefully this will get me a consultation sooner.
When I had my consultation with Dr. Chen, I think I only had to wait about a month for my consultation, and I didn't have to do a phone intake screening with his hospital either. They did have me fill out a ton of paperwork, so I'm assuming the phone call with JH will be asking of the same information.
I'm so excited for this. Everything is taking a very long time to get the ball rolling on things and I'm hoping that this is the push that makes the ball go downhill.
My intentions when I first decided to have this surgery is that I will be able to have a consultation soon after my request for one (which I did!), and then I would be able to book surgery as soon as the consultation was over, which wasn't the case. After a few weeks went by after my consult, I finally got a surgery date, a year ahead in advance.
I was so frustrated. I was reading on reddit and on transbucket that Dr. Chen was scheduling surgery 6 months out. So my intentions going into all of this is that I would be able to have my consult, get scheduled 6 months from then, take care of everything I needed to at home and with myself, and then have the surgery. Unfortunately I was too naive and did not realize how slowly the healthcare system works.
For now, I'm trying to stay positive about how slowly this is taking. After all, Rome wasn't built in a day.
