Top Surgery NSFW

I had my top surgery with Dr. Daniel Medalie on December 22nd, 2016. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Medalie, you can find results of his work on transbucket and on his own website (that I will attach the link to at the bottom).

Though people have opinions concerning his bedside manner, I found that I wasn't super concerned with his bedside manner because of the quality of his work. I only spoke to him twice before I went under for surgery, the first time was my phone consultation about 2 weeks prior to surgery, and the second time was in the pre-op room when he was marking my chest for surgery.

The procedure lasted about an hour and a half, and I was able to leave about 20-30 minutes (if I'm remembering correctly), and I did not experience a lot of pain (in fact, I had NO pain in my chest throughout my entire recovery, the only pain I experience was from my drains).

Though he usually requires you to stay in the area for about a week, he allowed me to leave 2 days after surgery with a promise of good care to my dressings and drains. I got these removed earlier than expected and had them removed at my local PCP's office, only 5 or 6 days after surgery. After that, I was finally able to shower!
